They just wanted to cast out the evil spirits! I wonder if we can use the same Christian techniques to cast out the evil spirits of Iran and North Korea!!!!!

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) - A 23-year-old Romanian nun died after she was tied to a cross in an apparent exorcism ritual and left in a cold room for three days without food, police said Friday.

Maricica Irina Cornici of the Holy Trinity convent in northeast Romania died late Wednesday.

"An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death," said Mihaela Straub, a police spokeswoman in the city of Vasului.

A monk and four nuns at the convent told police the young nun was chained to a cross and kept without food apparently because she was behaving violently.

"They all said that she was possessed and they were trying to cast out the evil spirits," Straub said.

The nun was bound with chains to a cross and a towel was stuffed into her mouth to stop her uttering any sounds, Straub said.

The local bishop's office of the Romanian Orthodox Church has begun an investigation. Police are also investigating, Straub said.

Huh, so we must protect the Qu'ran but it is OK to bash Christians?

I am waiting for your next headline... Muslim terrorists blow up church full of Muslims...

Oh, wait, you would never expose the weaknesses of your allies.

There's plenty of Muslim-bashing coming from your camp and we couldn't hope to match your level of frothing.

I like these articles though, they show that some Christians can be just as insane as some Muslims. Its too bad you can't find articles about "Joe Blow Muslim lives his life, loves his family, never hurts a fly." You know, to counter all the anti-Muslim spewing from the right and to complement the "Billy Joe Bob Christian does charitable works" articles.

These people are no more 'Christian' that you are an 'intelligent poster.'

But here's a :cookie: for your semi-successful flame-bait attempt.

First...
"An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death," said Mihaela Straub, a police spokeswoman in the city of Vasului.
And then...
A monk and four nuns at the convent told police the young nun was chained to a cross and kept without food apparently because she was behaving violently.
Well sh!t, I wonder what she died from? LOL!

Edit: Yes, I know that an autopsy is standard procedure when unnatural causes are likely. It's still funny. :p

They saved nun by destroying (her) temple.

Honestly, if this was not associated with a convent then it would be just as wrong. Why people want to attach the unlikely story of an exorcism is beyond me. These people are criminal for kidnapping and killing this woman. Nun or not, this is a clear case of murder.

subscribing to The Nicene Creed
is Christian.

the question is if the actions where Christ like.

clearly not.
we believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

I think the point is that all godies are crazies that believe in an illogical fairy tale, and should all kill themselves by way of hanging on a cross.

I believe God knows everything
I believe that God forgives and forgets my sins.

logical? no, faith.

now our extermination because of that seem a bit extreme, not sure you should be suggesting as much.

You have no proof of this god so yes i beleive it is ilogical.
There were plenty of books much like the bible that outlined previous religions and also had account of people walking with gods(greeks). What makes your god any more fesible? The church has been the biggest killers of all time, great way to get the point of love and forgivnes across hu?
