Again.

Read this article. The guy is a lunatic.

He didn't "hack" anything.

He guessed the security question answers to a lot of people. Not just politicians, but famous people. Because wikipedia.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ush-paintings-reportedly-arrested-in-romania/

He thinks the world elite are literally in the Illuminati and New World Order.

You do realize the most notorious "hacker" was known for one main crucial skill in "hacking" right? Social Engineering.

Derrrrrp.

The other.... blowing into a phone with a Capt'n Crunch whistle....

Hahahahaaha ohhh such good memories.

That's serious business though, he could have whistled into a kazoo over the phone and it would instantly launch nuclear warheads across the nation :D

Derrrrrp.

Social engineering requires interacting with people to get information, the guy looked on the internet and made guesses to get information.

Oh wow, because guessing a security question is SO different than phoning someone up and saying "I'm with IT security, your account has been comprised. Give me your password pls."

Just like anything else in life, people are going to choose the path of least resistance. If you can get access without having to look for an exploit, why the fuck would you?

QE is the process whereby the FRB pays cash for assets. If assets are scarce & cash abundant, why would they buy assets? They don't need assets at all.

Which has what to do with guccifer, anyway?

Ever look at their RMBS holdings? They are still purchasing assets in the amount of the amortization of the assets. This means they are purchasing a large amount of RMBS/CMO issuance.

Furthermore, QE of other CBs, which I stated a year ago, will have an effect on those purchasing assets in the US, thus US rates will remain low. It wouldn't even matter if the US were going gangbusters at this point, global CB intervention would still drive US assets higher.

He probably used a password dictionary script. Many people use only words out of the dictionary, it's very very easy to hack. Not going to tell you how to get one of these scripts but it's fucking simple, like hillary's fucking simpletons that worked for her using fucking simpleton passwords. Low IQ democrats who are too old to comprehend the term "password strength".

Yeah old white men are the kings of internet security and password strength. Young liberals are dragging down the national curve. "Honey, I won the Australian lottery!"

I'm not white, brah. Sorry to burst your stereotype, I'm a minority.

However you want to rationalize it (more money for better education/schools etc), GOP voters have higher IQs in general. This is a non-partisan statement, multiple studies confirm it including nonpartisan Pew. Another fact is that hillary's staffers don't understand password strength, which could be related to the lower IQ fact. Or maybe they are just twits, who knows.

He didn't "accuse" you of being white. But I know you like to tout out your minority status with every 3rd post as your perpetual anti-racist shield. ;)

as to your final point: agreed. most people in those positions, especially regarding password security, are twits.

(your second point remains within the margin of error, but you never like to acknowledge that--perpetual math problems, I guess)

Never said you were. I am fully aware of your claims to being a minority.

Everyone knows high IQ is the same thing as technical prowess.

You seem to be mad that I pointed out your incorrect use of the term "social engineering". He didn't use social engineering, period.

Blumenthal was not a staffer & there's no evidence that any of Hillary's staff were hacked or their passwords guessed.

Which raises the question- Do you actually believe your own bullshit or are you just here to spread it?

Why was Guccifer brought to the USA?

Fern

Really? 4th paragraph in the opening post:

"The hacker spoke freely with Fox News from the detention center in Alexandria, Va., where he’s been held since his extradition to the U.S. on federal charges relating to other alleged cyber-crimes. Wearing a green jumpsuit, Lazar was relaxed and polite in the monitored secure visitor center, separated by thick security glass."

Not sure with what he's currently charged, but he was convicted in absentia by the State of Virginia for the Bush family and (IIRC) the Powell hacks.

So what does this mean?

Foreign CB's engaging in QE will merely put cash in the hands of foreign banks rather than assets & is intended to promote lending. It's like pushing on a string because we're at the zero lower bound of interest rates because of low demand for money. We won't escape that until demand picks up.
