I've been playing the game in Chinese Traditionl <-- "I can't read alot of it", for a while now. The game is finally out in english. I am finally able to fully understand what all the stats do, I will miss giving authentic chinese names to my fictional game family which I've inserted into Chinese history LOL. We last for about a 1000 years hehe, before they died out in battle. LOL.

Everyone who hasn't heard of the game. It's basically Civ 4 + Dynasty Warriors (also made by Koei). This game is for Fans of complex stats that ultimately do nothing because they're so complex you can't keep track of them.

HAHAHAHHAAH, Yes, The older versions KIND of. But this new version is alot better. Still Excel in a way. But if you're at all interested about 3 kingdom history, then this is a great adaptation.

HURRAY for you. It's phenomenally awesome.. Although if you can find the simplified chinese version and be chinese, it's even better. The literary arts are quite stripped in the english version. all the characters seems devoid of their nature and characteristics ALTHOUGH, their stats still reflect what they are in the real world.. Thankfully

I still think ROTTK 3 is their best title. It really had all the right elements in just the right amount that made the game unbelievably addictive and fun to play. I even played it as recently as earlier this year on my PC using that SNES emulator software and STILL had a great time.

I am such a fan of the series that I recently bought a PS2 just to play one of the newer titles, I think it was X ? But despite it's gorgeous graphics and really spectacular music it just didn't grab me as much as 3 did... Not to say I didn't have fun.

And no, I'm not Chinese.

I'm having alot of trouble keeping track of this game now, cuz when u select all the armies, it keeps bouncing around, and i forget what i did in the previous cities

The graphics though are even more gorgeous, ,THe intro movie was SEX if you're into the whole tradition asian calligrphy stuff.

Back in the days when I was studying Chinese History about the part of the 3 kingdoms, all my classmates and friends were addicted to the game, at that time it was 2, I played many many times on my 486 machine. Played 3, it was more complicated, then didnt touch any other after 3. Some years after I saw one of my friend playing 7 or so, I was impressed they changed the game so much that you can create your own character instead of a existed guy in the history and played likw RPG to work on your path to be an emporer.

Where did you order your copy and does it support multiplayer over LAN? or MUltiplayer of any type.

Ok, I got my original Chinese copy off playasia. The new one I got off my friend who ripped it legally. I am playing his backup. No the game doesn't have multiplayer. although these were never really the type, it'd take a really long time, even civ 4 got real boring multiplay.

and In comparison to ROTK X,, NO comparison THIS IS THE SUPERIOR version BY FAR. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

BEST parallel I could draw would be; dumping a decent looking girlfriend with a great personality for a FANTASTIC super model girl friend also with a great personality and is even more interesting sexually than the previous.

I played 7 and 8 on PS2. This one is radically different from them, and I don't really like it at all.

MORE Stats. and they kept the same sprites from dynasty warriors, only since they're on PC, they don't look shitty and uncompressed textures.

Although you don't actually see these sprites very often, they're not really part of the game, STILL awesome. the game itself is just as good looking as Civ 4. Only highly stylized.

What don't you like about it?

Judging from what I tried out on the PC version, it's a little too complicated for me now. Also, I liked on the PS2 version where you could just be a general and not have to be a ruler.
