Rolling Stones land in Cuba

I'm actually rather surprised that Castro would allow such well known "capitalist decadents" onto his shores. I thought a guy like Tony Bennett would have a better chance at that.

Good on Castro and his people for that.

Of all Obama's achievements, Cuba I predict will be his most successful and most memorable.
Republicans just can't stand it that Obama was the one to break down those walls.
And if anything can convert Cuba into a democracy, Americans will do it.

This isn't cozying up to communist, this is TEARING DOWN THAT WALL.
Personally, I can't wait to visit Cuba.

I wonder if Cubans will know it's the Rolling Stones or some of the cast of Walking Dead.

They have to be dead to be the walking dead and everyone knows that Keith Richards refuses to die.

OK, that's funny.

Greetings,

I saw the Stones in '69 at the Boston Garden. Yeh, that's right I'm a goldie oldie. Makes me feel good whenever I see today's youth backing Bernie.

best,

I saw the stones in the early 80s in Munich. Back then THEY WERE ALREADY OLD and I was a fricking teenager. Unbelievable really.

Ahh, the period of civil unrest was over by then. I remember the protests, the marches, the sit-ins, the SDS, the Weathermen, the original Black Panther Party, Eldridge Cleaver, AM radio, the election and assasination of JFK, MLK Jr, Robert Kennedy, George F'n Wallace and a young acivist by the name of Bernie Sanders. Ohh, I almost forgot the age of free love (mmm).

best regards,
