In contrast with another thread of "worst" movies ever made RS magazine has compiled their list of 10 worst (most disappointing?) movies of 2010. The list includes:

10 - Clash of the Titans. "Release the Kraken," said Liam Neeson as Zeus. Hollywood suits must have misheard it as "Release the crap." So they did. Here's to a better 2011.

9 - Grown Ups. Arguably the unfunniest comedy in the Adam Sandler canon. Given the existence of Little Nicky, Click and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, that's something.

8 - The Last Airbender. Remember when M. Night Shyamalan made good movies? Does your sixth sense tell you he'll do it again? Mine neither.

7 - Knight and Day. Because James Mangold (Walk the Line) directed this caper flick with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, I had hopes. What an idiot. Even the Kutcher-Heigl Killers was better.

6 - Jonah Hex. Josh Brolin as the disfigured cowboy of the DC Comics revenge tale. Sounds good. Plays terrible in every conceivable way.

5 - The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The third film in the series commits the cardinal sin in a vampire movie: It's bloodless in flesh and spirit.

4 - Sex and the City 2. Four privileged white women whine about being privileged white women.

3 - Eat Pray Love. Two hours of Julia Roberts whining about the awful hardships of the same damn thing.

2 - Burlesque. This misguided musical uniting a waxworks Cher with an acting-challenged Christina Aguilera picked up a Globe nod. Are the Hollywood Foreign Press voters on crack?

and #1 is ...

1 - The Tourist. I laughed like hell when this lame-ass thriller got a Golden Globe nod as Best Movie (Comedy or Musical). All the laughs are unintentional. And Golden Dildo acting nominees Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie hit career lows, producing the chemistry of high-fashion zombies. The worst of the year, by a mile.

I've not seen any of these movies. Would appreciate other user views ... were these movies really that bad, really disappointing or both?

I didn't think Clash of the Titans was that bad, it turned out better than I thought it would.

- yikes. I haven't seen this, but Killers was awful. So is every other movie on this list that I've seen.

Last Airbender was a stinking pile of doopoopoo. It was not just bad, it was horrible.

I don't think the remake of Titans was bad. I think the orgininal is better (except the CCG/special effect of course).

Twilight - I did watch all of them. They were not great but not bad at all. This comes from a guy that dislikes "chickflicks".

Sex in the city - I did watch both and the first one was decent but the 2nd was bad, too much whining/bitching.

Haven't watch the rest in the list.

Titans: I saw it on DVD, well after all the reports of it sucking had circulated. I was entertained by it, didn't think it was too bad. It was a good popcorn flick. My understanding is that most of the flak it took while in theaters was due to piss-poor 3D conversion.

Airbender: Yeah. This was terrible. Funny thing is, I'm a huge fan of the cartoon series. I also saw this after reading all the bad reviews, but hoped for the best. IMO, it was hampered by visually/thematically hoping to be a more intense/violent movie while at the same time pandering to the ostensible key demographic (based on source material): kids. Script and acting were straight out of a Nickelodeon tv series. I think if the studio had let Shamalamadingdong make it as a straight fantasy/action movie, it would have been much, much better.

Jonah Hex: lol. Blu-ray sitting right next to me, was about to pop it in.

Grown Ups was quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. Had I been watching it in a theater rather than at home, I would have seriously considered walking out. The jokes and overall storyline were so cliched and corny that I felt near-constant twinges of painful awkwardness for the cast; I really don't know how they acted those scenes out without boycotting filming halfway through.

I'm convinced the entire project was:

A) Originally a family vacation for the actors, who decided along the way that they figured they should just turn it into a movie, the screenplay of which was written entirely in the car ride to the camp

B) A way of attempting to launch the careers of the children involved by getting them a "star-studded" first film

C) A cruel joke

Only movies is saw on the list were day and Knight which was more entertaining than I thought it'd be and clash of the Titian's which clearly wasn't ever meant to be anything more than a popcorn flick and that's his I took it and enjoyed it for that. I saw it in 2d though.

I was actually on the verge if seeing the tourist this past weekend but checked reviews before buying tickets and decided on seeing the fighter instead which was a great movie.

Shit forgot I even saw grown ups. That was a shitty movie. What a flop considering the potential from the actors involved.

yea i saw it in 2d on bluray, i was entertained. it was silly but it seemed to fit.
maybe it was the bad 3d....

knight and day on the other hand, so much action, and yet so boring....so weird that happens.

the sofia copolla film Somewhere was pretty sh*t boring as well.

but i guess this is the fun to hate on film list..

rolling stone is too politically correct to admit machette was a pos as well.

if you want to see the tourist done right, watch the original french film called anthony zimmer.

as for jonah hex, yea it was just a mess, twilight was about the same as ever, i wasn't the target audience so i'm not going to hate on it. sex and the city 2 was just so horrible you figure either the cast and crew are so rich they've lost touch with reality or they really really need a freakin paycheck. eat pray love was also another paycheck gig for julia roberts, cuz it hits every cliche in the annoying yuppy finding themself playbook. that should probably top the list because i started to surf the web part way through the disc cuz i just lost interest.

I loved The Last Airbender and Knight and Day. Seems like most people that didn't like Airbender were fans of the tv series so it's a bit biased. I intentionally avoided Grownups and try to avoid most Adam Sandler movies. He's like Eddie Murphy... you seem to remember him being funny but all his movies seem to be crap. Both came from SNL too...

In fact, seems like most SNL actors end up making maybe one or two good movies and the rest are crap.

Titan was bad. Pointless and unmotivated.

Hex was even worse.

Even my daughter joined in my ridicule of the newest Twilight movie. It's just too easy to make fun of.

Clash Of The Titans sucked donkey balls. It scares me that was only the 10th worst movie of the year. Dear god, how much worse can it get?

I've seen all of these except the Tourist, which I will see.

The Last Airbender was the worst movie I've ever seen in my life, period, much less for 2010.

Jonah Hex as pretty bad but not in the bottom 10 for 2010. I don't care how bad Megan Fox acts, she isn't there for her acting prowess and the outfits, mmmmm.

Knight and Day I actually liked, it was funny and witty. I thought so any way.

Grown ups was bad, but not nearly as bad as the other Adam Sandler flix it mentions, Little Nicky was downright retarded, and Chuck and Larry had two good scenes with that one hotty who's name escapes me right now.

Clash of the Titans was downright aweful, I agree.

No real comment on the others

Bottom line, no movie could possibly have been worse then the last airbender, its not even possible. It deserves #1 of 2010, #1 of the last decade, and #1 all time for me.

I would appreciate knowing how these movies fit in with my "posting style" ... and what style is that?

You're supposed to be such a nice guy ... based upon your own admission (previous post).

I thought 'Sex and the City 2' was funny.

Didn't see any of the other movies on that list though.
