Looking at purchasing a pair. Not looking at spending a boat load on them, and really haven't found any good discussion/review sites on them. Any suggestions or sites that may provide insight? Just going to be using them recreationally.
 
for recreactional use i would personally suggest getting the ones with the snap straps (3 straps on boot that take 15 seconds to put on)

If you want something decent i would look for a pair with ABEC 3 or ABEC 5 bearings as they will make it easier for you to roll... the higher the number the faster you go but ABEC3 should be PLENTY. Other than that i havent looked at skates for quite some time. I bought leather boot hockey blades so i could actually play hockey nearly 5 years ago and they are still going. But it was a heafty $300 or so.
 
Apparantly the hardest part of rollerblading is telling your dad you're gay...

Seriously though, go for some road ones and not agressives.
