Roku

Roku 3 for an older (non-HDR/ non-4k) set would be effectively equivalent to the Premire Plus ($100), and likely cheaper due to close-out pricing.

Thanks what if we plan on getting a new tv later on ?

Unless you're getting an HDR TV and subscribe to the 4k Netflix stream ($11.99/mo) and/or have Amazon Prime for their HDR content then don't spend the money for the Premier Plus or Ultra. Having said that, most any HDR TV will have apps built into the TV that can handle the HDR streaming from those sources without the need for a Roku.

So I'd still say buy the cheaper/older model because with the new TV you may not even need the Roku at all unless you want to use Dolby Atmos audio from Vudu.

See what costco has. I bought one a few years ago and hard wired it rather then wireless and with a low speed DSL connection it gets solid 1080p on netflix. They are always adding content including locals and internet radio. I paid $59.99 for it on sale. Lots of free content too. I don't use cable or dish. Roku does it all.

TV boxes are no different. Basically, can this box do what you bought it for and are you happy with the price? I got Aodin TV BOX last week, works well on NETFLIX and Kodi.

It depends. Not every streaming box has all the apps you might want or has all the features you think you may use.

Although I agree with the sentiment, one item to consider is the UX(User eXperience). The typical android TV Box (Specifically those that are not real android tv devices) has a UX that is simply not suited to the 10' model.
Roku does it decently (if the "dated" interface works for you), Androidtv does it very well (NVidia Shield/ Mi Box/ Nexus Player/ some TV's from Sony and others), but most of the "TV Boxes" have either their own "customized" launcher or just a Kodi skin- and usually a horrible remote that is little more than an air mouse.
