Roku seems to be losing game support

I bought a Roku 3, thinking that it would get loads of games. I've been sorely disappointed. My unit came with Angry Birds Space built in, which my kids really enjoyed, but I have only seen a handful of games become available over the past year.

A friend has a Roku 2 XS. He has 3 different Angry Birds games, but for some reason I've never gotten access to any of those.

To make things worse, today I was trying to reset all of the high scores for the levels to make it more "fun" again to play the various levels of Angry Birds Space on my Roku 3. The only way I could figure out to do this was to uninstall the game (channel) and reinstall it. But then I couldn't find it.

It turns out that even though the game was advertised as part of the unit, it is no longer available in the store, so we can't even pay to reinstall it. According to the rep I chatted with:

"Rovio has made the decision to remove its games from a number of streaming devices including Roku. Rovio's Angry Birds series on the ToonsTV channel will continue to be available on Roku."

I hate the idea that on the box it says that my unit comes with this game, but that by trying to reset the scores, evidently now they are saying there is no way I can reset it back to the way it came from the factory. (including having the game on there to play)
So now my friend has 3 Angry Birds games on his Roku 2, and I'm stuck with ZERO on my Roku 3, even though it is supposed to have Angry Birds Space on there.

I'm thinking that I need to find some other set top box if I want some games.

Can anyone recommend perhaps an Android based set top box that will let me watch Youtube and other free sources for online entertainment? It would also be nice if I could load a MAME emulator, and perhaps play some newer games once in a while.

What happens if you reset the Roku altogether? And then log back in with your Roku account? Wonder if it would be magically restored when the unit is reset to just the base firmware?

Nexus player isn't that good. Last time I turned it on (2 weeks), there was only like 10 games. None of the Android stuff installs because it says its not supported on that device. Side loading works though. Fire TV might be better if you want something now that plays games with minimal hassle.
