I already have an Xbox 360 and a PlayStation 3. As far as I can tell, having this would be redundant for me although it's a neat little box.

Seems like a good deal, but it doesn't do network streaming off a media server? Wouldn't it make more sense to pick up one of those boxes that also does Netflix?

thats the reason I chose the wdtv live plus over this. My kids like watching netflix for all the kids movies.

Did either of you read the product description? Arg for lazy internet people.

Thanks OP, picked up one for the bedroom.

It DOES play off your PC. I run Mongoose web server and run a private channel that was developed to play movies, music and pictures from my PC to my ROKU...works perfectly.

I started to check this out, in Roksbox I got to the point where it said it was a 30 day trial and asked if I wanted to register and pay my one time fee now.

I then stopped and moved on to other meaningless chores.

I was thinking about purchasing one, but after I saw the short codec support list (only 3 video codecs -- no mpeg anything, xvid, divx, or anything nice like that), I decided against it. Also, the audio codec list shows only mp3 and wma, but a lot of people have mp3 so I guess that's not quite as bad but still....
