Netflix has a $9 a month unlimited account. Does Amazon offer something similar or is it all a la carte?

Amazon also states "Nearly all of the thousands of movies and TV shows are available on Amazon Video On Demand can be purchased and watched instantly on your Roku player."

What are they holding back?

I think Amazon is only a-la-carte as you mention.

If they added Hulu support to the Roku I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I might get it if Amazon had an unlimited account like Netflix. But what's the point if it's as much a PPV and counts against my bandwidth cap?

Because you're paying Amazon and not the cable company that implemented the bandwidth cap.

;)

Well we turned our cable down to non-digital (22 channels) for $10 a month. Unlimited Hulu/Netflix would be a great value in our house, as would an Unlimited Amazon (if they ever do it).
