Just saw the new Rogue Legacy game pop up on Steam. They have an interesting concept that each time you die, your child takes over for you. The kicker - each child has a "unique" trait. Unique as in they may have dyslexia or maybe tourettes or may be a "dwarf". So, you play as a child that has a learning or physical issue.

Now, I'm not entirely sure how they are approaching these "unique" traits, but at one point in their trailer, one of the children farts. So, I'm betting that there's going to be much humor involved. lol

Looks like a fun platformer. I may pick it up after I finish Unepic. Playing it has reminded me how much I miss standard side scrolling platform games.

It's a great game; just finished playing for almost 4 hours. One of my children was gay: "You're a fan of the man"

Yeah, I have to finish Unepic and Defender's Quest. Probably pick this up over the Steam Summer Sale.

This game had a pre-release price of $10 (33% off), so I decided to jump on it. The gameplay footage and trailers looked decent.

I must say, this game is way more fun than the screenshots and trailers make it out to be. It looks like another generic indie platformer, but it's not.

Rather... it's a very deep, creative, humorous, side-scrolling "roguelike metroidvania" with randomly-generated rooms, items, and traits. That's the best way I can describe it... it's really a blend of a lot of things. And to top things off, probably the most redeeming feature here is the gameplay itself. It feels great. The controls are very tight. The combat is quick, satisfying, and requires skill.

I mean, it REALLY requires skill. This game is hard. Oldschool style hard. I believe the proper term is, "Nintendo-hard".

I haven't played it much yet, but I definitely plan on messing around with it some more. Also, it has native support for a 360 gamepad, so I've been playing with that.

The most politically incorrect game is still The Binding of Isaac and will be overtaken by the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

That being said Rogue Legacy is an amazing game. Are you a fan of the man? lol
