Well, on Sunday I got into an altercation with this soldier who recently returned from Iraq. If you don't already know, I am an Army Reserve MP on active duty currently. Anyway, I entered a local establishment to break up a fight in progress and wouldn't you know it, this GI Joe came fit to fight. As I approached, he attempted to kick me and as a former wrestler, I stepped in on the rising leg and his steel toe "fighting" boot caught the front of my jungle boot and really did a number on my left foot, ring toe. I took him down from my already in progress single leg sweep and subdued him. Well, the damage was done. My toe is busted all to hell.

When I took my boot off, it was pointing due West at almost a 90 degree angle (sorry, no pics). My ring toe always had a certain clearance from the next largest toe next to it and I think fate had it that that toe was gonna break. Anyway, I am FUBAR for 4-6 weeks. All they can do is give me pain killers and tape my toe to the adjacent one for support, which is what I expected from years of wrestling in Junior and High School.

Anyway, sitting on the couch tonight, watching Monster House and hating being the affecionate "broke d!ck" that the informal Army calls me, I started feeling very, very nauseous. So, not having showered since yesterday morning (I was getting pretty ripe), I decided to improvise. I located my camping gear and broke out my nylon camping table and placed it firmly in the bottom of my bath tub. First shower I've ever taken sitting down, but damn it felt good. I recommend you all try it. Anyway, the best part was, I shot the shower head nearly straight down and wouldn't you know it, the chair, with plastic feet and water and soap for lubrication, slid back and forth, front to rear in the tub. My makeshift invention saved me the immense pain of standing on my now green and blue foot, swollen to about twice the normal size. Anyway, this is some bull$hit to say the least. I've never been deadlined or a "broke d!ck" in over 8 years in the Army Reserve, even civilian side doing brick laying as a 19 year old I never got injured.

BS(yeah, you know what it means!) - I suppose I should come clean, other than the shower. I really broke my toe falling down the steps in my house. If you've read this far, you deserve the truth. We are remodeling the house and noticed that the steps/treads are very narrow, like only 6.5 inches wide. It's the first I've fell down them, but my wife took a tumble late last week and called me at work crying. Anyway, what was a project on the back burner is now priority number 1!!! Step renovation and rebuild will commence this weekend. Until then, I stay planted in front of the Forums reading the entertainment that can only be gleaned from OT. Here's to feeling like $hit and spilling it with people I may never see or know other than some icons on the left side of my screen. Cheers!!!

BBS - edited with paragraphs just for you wink, but they lying had to stay for dramatic effect.

Rogue notes version:

1) Broke toe in encounter with criminal soldier as an MP

2) Created "handicap enabled" shower out of junk to save pain of standing in shower and thought it was pretty cool

3) Now getting seriously ill to the point of vomiting

4) Never got injured like this before, never a broken bone, EVER

5) Lied about initial story, although I am an MP for real, but no criminal, only me and those steps that are getting life in the junk yard for better, wider steps

6) Reformatted into paragraph form for Wink because posting on the internet is grammar school and no one EVER strays from proper english format, despite my near perfect spelling, despite not using a spell checker

7) Realized first hand that people on forums are illiterate and/or b!tchy about anything that doesn't involve finding the G-spot, no wait, nevermind, they're b!tchy about that too.

8) Toe severely broke, for clarification and life is miserable

9) "Feel good smiley" edited in for anyone who things I'm ripping on them

:) - as promised

Who? Bullets don't have to walk, they fly. Just name it. C'mon, I'll drive there now and take their smelly @$$ out for good. I need some retribution against my steps!
