Predates Mac Mini by many years.

What's your point? They tried to put it in a Mac Mini chassis and it wouldn't fit with the optical drive.

Apple didn't invent "Let's make a small computer" 😛

It isn't that it's a small computer, it's the fact that it looks almost exactly like the macmini.

Yeah, there's definitely a marketing hand behind that. There's a lot of ways to make a small computer that wouldn't scream "Mac Mini rip-off" the way that thing does.

And all cars look the same so they rip each other off?

The DVD drive is the largest object in the thing, so your pretty limited to what minimum dimensions you can make it.

Exactlly. Lets also not forget the mod community has been trying to stuff PCs into small cases for quite a while. I'm sure there are some MAC modders doing the same. Point being it's not unique to Apple... Mini macs are neat and all, but not the concept is not "new."

If that goes for cheap I would buy one. It would make a decent HTPC (just for music and dvd watching) or a good server

OP got owned.

:disgust:

yeah, i understand your frustration there. the article clearly states that it's a rip-off of the mac mini, and my bet is that it was intended for such a purpose or they probably wouldn't be mentioning it in the article.

the only mini PC i'd care for now is an affordable HTPC with remote capabilities.

AMD should build something like this 😀
My A64 has cold air coming out of the case and off of the cpu

That rumor was quashed a while ago.

Was it?

I guess people saying Intel is ripping off Apple didn't realize they will be in bed together very soon.

Pretty funny.
