ROFL!! I'm so LAZY! This is farking GREAT!!

Well, I finally have everything up and running the way I want it. Main gaming machine is a WinXP P4 1.6a northwood that's oc'd to 2.4. I got a small piii 733 running Win2k and a whole slough of server crap. I've got all my mp3s on the Win2k machine and have winamp running a shoutcast server that my winXP box is listening in on (need the HDD space on the WinXP box).

However, I'm too lazy to reach over th 10" or so to click the button on the KVM switch. And holding Scroll Lock until the KVM beeps then hitting either 1 or 2 which corresponds with what PC I want to switch too is a pain in the ass. So I've got VNC running on both boxes and I'm currently sitting on my WinXP box <alt><tab>'ing between desktops.

😀

ummmmm...I've gone to bed without eating because I was too lazy.

You suck at laziness. 🙂

Pisha...

I got you beat HANDS down.

All I ate yesterday was some cheese around 11:00 or 12:00

When is the next LAN going to happen?

Not sure. But with the way I have things set up, it's going to be much easier to just unplug and go. However... getting over my laziness will be the rough part. 😛 I'm not even sure where we'd be able to do it. Gregg's house is huge... we can always crash there. Plug into the gigabit network and everything. 😀 😀 😀

you can't set your own KVM switch keys?

Maybe I can, but I've read the manual (gasp!) and checked the Belkin site but wasn't able to find anything. Maybe I suck at t3h intarw3b!

Confirmed!

What, you found where I can program my own keyboard shortcuts for my belkin?

Did you ever figure that out? I finally did.

Yes, I did. I figured it out before you did. Go back and read your own thread. 😛 Anyway, have you found anything for my 2-port Belkin OmniView SOHO series KVM? (hint hint 😀)

methinks you need to re-read the thread topic. 😀 In any case, I still haven't found anything about programming my own shortcut. I'd prefer something faster, like <ctrl><ctrl> but this switch doesn't support changing the shortcut.
