I've had the x-530's for about a year, and the sub was fine until about two months ago. The volume knob on the back of the sub was acting wierd. depending on where it was, the sub would go in and out, as in play a little then not play then play then not play, as if a wire was loose. I found the sweet spot where it didn't do that, and i've just left it like that until today. Well I decided to play HL2 with the fakefactory cinematic mod, and one of the songs (classical) has ALOT of bass. Well I had the volume turned up loud (to get the whole cinematic experience), and the song plays. lllllaaaaaaaaa BOOOOOOOOOMmmffap pfpappf fpa fap fap fap fap fap fapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapf. I think it's vibration. I pause the game, check to see what might have been vibrating, and don't see anything. so I turn it back on. FAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAP. Well I figure out the sound is coming out of the sub. So I play more music, fapfappppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.
. I've tested alot of things out, it's just fapping away now, not doing what it's supposed to do. Oh well, R.I.P. sub
UPDATE: Well I deciced to mess with the knob on the back, and I turned it to a different position, and now I'ts not making the wierd sounds anymore. Could there be a problem with the internal wireing?
UPDATE 2: Been checking it out, I tried to play that song again, this time it didn't fap, it just didn't make a sound. then for about 5 seconds it was as loud as if it was brand new, then it just stayed quiet for the rest of the song.
