UPDATE: i passed the class and got my certificate! :)

Only got to about 15mph or so for the most part (I got close to 20 for the quick stop part ) but man, riding a motorcycle is awesome :) I can't wait to get one.. hpoefully sooner rather than later, but worst comes to worst... 2 years before I get one (graduation from college, woot :))

So much more engaging than a car :D

i want to ride but not until my leg heals.. stupid geriatric drivers.. I got hit by a 87 yr old on wednesday.

I am fine, bike's kinda okay, dealing with insurance co stuff now.. i wish i could ride.

I am going to retake MSF with some coworkers, just for shits and giggles.

does the cost of insurance even things out? Some one told me that insurance costs so much that is the same as running a cheap ford

depends on the bike, mostly based on engine size. i got a quote for a brand new ninja250 for $323 a year (granted that was 3 years ago)

I pay about $15 a month for liability, comprehensive with a $100 deductible, and uninsured/underinsured with a $250 deductible on a 2007 Suzuki DL650.

Granted, I'm 25. It wasn't THAT much more expensive when I wasn't, though.

Filling my gas tank costs more than my monthly insurance premium.

Yeah, we have a POS bike (Honda Nighthawk 250) but I think insurance is like $80/year.

Agreed. Bikes are so much fun, I'm going to ride today assuming it doesn't rain. I haven't been on my bike since last Tuesday...:(

Why is college stopping you from getting a bike?

Congrats :)

I plan on going out for a couple hour ride today. It's supposed to be 80 and party cloudy..perfect. As for having a bike in college, for me it was perfect. Iowa has about 12-15 designated motorcycle parking lots all over campus. Super convenient, and the pass only cost me about $35 IIRC.
