Seems like a pretty good deal to me: Link

Might be a deal breaker for some...but the price increased from $32.21 to $32.95

I'm in for six of them for a total of $193.26!! Wow going to make some money on those, they sell for $100+ most places... I should buy more, free shipping and no tax? Wow, I should make $400 profit after i sell all 6 of these bad boys.. I may keep one and box it up and throw it in my trunk though!

These models are getting phased out, so they should be pretty cheap everywhere soon. (Already pretty cheap at $99 a pair on eBay and such).
Not great subs to begins with, good for budget setups I suppose.

Ok i went a little overboard, canceled the 6 and got 3, still paying the same price for three as you would get two from ebay for $98 shipped, so lets see how is this not a good deal still? Anyway, I'm sure i'll get my money back from the two and keep one myself for free...

His $$$ was based of B&M store pricing, there's plenty of people out there who don't buy stuff online. I don't know if he'll get $100+ for them, but I could see him getting $80 pretty easy.

Home Theater? Its a car audio sub. It has response curves that favor the internal characteristics of automobiles.

Care to explain that?! what are "automobile response curves" cause I have never heard of such a thing.

There are lots of reasons the TS parameters are generally different for car audio speakers and home audio speakers.
Cabin gain, power handling, and while I've never heard of the term he used (automobile response curves), he's correct. Cars absorb a range of frequencies ande the TS parameters are corrected to minimize that effect.
Cars are a far different environment and often speakers made for a certain application (car audio) won't work optimally for another environment (home audio).
That's not to say they won't work, but in most cases you're better off getting a driver suited to the application you're using it for.

You start with a pink noise generator to measure the acous.....

WTF!!?? It's sub frequencies.

Never mind. o_O

Yup Exactly.

Cars naturally boost certain frequencies same as rooms in a house do. They also dampen certain frequencies. It is also known that the bass wavelength is too long for vehicles to "Fit" so the interior of a car acts like a pressure vessel. Open your car window and what happens to the bass? It diminishes. Open your house door what happens.? The Car audio sub is designed to compensate for this.

If you don't believe any of this. Take your "Box" out of your vehicle and see how much bass you get in your home.

All in all you will be better off buying a $40 12" Home Audio Sub than an on sale $80 ($40) car audio sub.

I understand that it's not a HT sub. It cost me $20 (Amazon Credit) and looks nice when I set up to front fire.

if youre gonna do it, put the sub in the largest sized box its spec'd for and port it properly. small sealed boxes are not ideal in a house. you can get good bass out of that sub inside your livingroom though... its just bass its not the most unforgiving part of audio by any means.
