I absolutely love Rock Band. I play all the instruments and sing, assuming no one is around to hear me. My question is: What are some of your favorite songs to play and on what instrument do you prefer them? I love Welcome Home on the guitar and I love to play Drain You on the drums.

I play the drums probably 3 times a week, I am always downloading new songs, I don't think I will ever get tired of it

For those who play Rock Band: Try playing after a few drinks. I guarantee that you'll have more fun. ;)

Isn't that true for everything?

My fav song to play is Prequel to the Sequel on bass or guitar, also I really like to play Alabama Getaway on guitar that's really fun.

I've been frustrated lately with the timing of rock band. Although my fingers are in the correct position and I feel like I'm strumming at the right time, I randomly just *miss* a large quantity of notes and it annoys the shit out of me. This is on expert btw. I've read that wireless guitars are a bad idea on expert. Any other suggestions?

Wireless guitars are fine, but you probably need to calibrate your system.

I fail at drums entirely. I can get by easy for most, some medium. Either way Guitar Hero is harder.

Hard level for guitars all the way. Expert for singing songs I know. Unfortunately my gf has had my set for like 3 months now. I think I'm getting rusty. I'll take it back this weekend I suppose. The batteries on my wiimotes are dead anyway and need a recharge.

Wireless guitars are perfectly fine for expert. You DEFINITELY need to calibrate if you have an LCD or whatever. IT takes time to get the timing down, but now you know why input lag is a huge issue. I thought it was a big issue on shooter games but man this is like 10x as important!

What sucks is that it seems like the interpretation of lag is subjective. For instance, I can do ok on my own equipment that I've calibrated but I suck on someone elses equipment that they've calibrated and they do just fine. :(
