After playing GH2 on a friends Playstation 2 a few months ago I have wanted to get this type of game for my PC. I then noticed that GH3 and Rock Band were coming out for the PC. I know that GH3 is now out for the PC and that Rock Band is coming out next week for the P3 and X360.

I am only interested in the guitar and don't care about on-line play. For my musical taste I really like the set list for Rock Band. So my questions are

1. When is Rock Band coming out for the PC?
2. Is it only the special edition at first?
3. Can I buy just the software and a 3rd party guitar that will work on the PC?

You might wanna just get a PS2. The PS2 version comes out in December. Plus you'll have access to the huge catalog of quality PS2 games for dirt cheap.
 
I didn't know there was a PC version Rock Band coming out. I do know that the PS3 and 360 versions are limited to the $170 bundle with drums, guitar and everything until next year. Also supplies are supposed to be very limited so I wouldn't count on a quick PC release. Most stores seem to be out of preorders for 360/PS3. I also doubt you'll be able to get a 3rd party guitar to work with it.
