I've heard it's only local multuplayer. And you can't play world tour solo. If true, that's pretty stupid.

Edit: I was wrong. After doing some research, I found that Kev is correct. There won't be online world tour mode.

That's a bit disappointing. Why leave that out? They're still allowing online multiplayer for normal gigs right?

They left it out because they did not have enough time to make it work flawlessly. You can still do cooperative quick play online. I think you can do competitive online too, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I've watched the videos and done a bit of research, but I haven't seen these questions addressed: I'm probably going to have several sets of friends that I'll play this with in 4-player world tour mode. Can one "character" (i.e. ME) be in multiple bands? If I create my character as a guitarist, can I switch him to drums/vocals at times within the same band? Can you swap these created characters in and out of the bands for others?
