After reading this Text article I have to say I am a little pissed off at Activision. In my opinion this is a bad move on Activision?s part. I have sent an email to the following people at Activision. If anyone else shares my feeling about these issues please send an email to the following people and hopefully we can get this patch released.

Robert Kotick, Chairman of the board and CEO bkotick@activision.com
Brian Kelly, Co Chairman and Director bkelly@activision.com
Ronald Doornick, Director and Senior advisor rdoornink@activision.com
Michael Griffith, President and CEO mgriffith@activision.com
Thomas Tippl, CFO ttippl@activision.com
George Rose, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary grose@activision.com
Robin Kaminsky, Executive Vise President Publishing rkaminsky@activision.com
Brian Hodous, Chief Customer Officer bhodous@activision.com
Ann Weiser Chief Human resources Officer aweiser@activision.com

Yes basically I just sent am email to everyone on their Executive Team list. I tried support first but just got a canned response saying they had no information on a PS3 patch.

I was just saying....

If it's a big issue, just buy a controller that works with that game from Harmonix. You already spent $500 on a Playstation. What's another $50 gonna hurt.

See the discussion in Console Gaming

Activision is blocking people from giving them money for Guitar Hero 3, then using the GH3 guitar in Rock Band.

The proper response is to not give them your money, since they apparently hate us all. And Freedom.

That's a pretty dumb response.

Indeed. After doing a class movie project with a camcorder made by Sony (owned by a classmate) we couldn't use a firewire cable to transfer the video because it required special software made by Sony for $99. Not only that, the only place you could find it was eBay.

Sony sucks. They've gone WAY down hill since the 1980s and I'm only going to buy cheap $10-15 headphones from here on out and nothing else.

the problem is there is no guitars to be found, they are harder to find than the nintendo wii.

let alone, some people already own GH3 and want to use the guitar for the bass guitar in RB to have 4 players.

Harmonix has also said they're happy to help other companies use Rock Band guitars in other games, but Activision says no way, give us more money and buy 2 copies of Guitar Hero instead.

Activision apparently hates both freedom and puppies & kittens. Along with all of your local sports teams.

My Sony MiniDV Camcorder came with a firewire cable and free software that does the transfer and editing, fairly nicely too. Also, it's compatible with about 3 or 4 other video editing programs I've tested, including Pinnacle.
