The DLC for the week of February 26th will be brought to you by Nine Inch Nails!

Nine Inch Nails ? ?March of the Pigs? (master)
Nine Inch Nails ? ?The Collector? (master)
Nine Inch Nails ? ?The Perfect Drug? (master)

These songs will be available as a pack for $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points), or $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) for the individual tracks. They will be released next week for download through the Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and PLAYSTATION®Network.

So if this is coming out now, what else was wrong with that leak? Does it mean albums are coming out soon? Discuss amongst yourselves.

Probably just means the publishers got mad the original DLC schedule got leaked and rescheduled it...I don't think there's anything to discuss really.

I believe they are keeping to the Teen rating and that means using censored tracks.

I believe the only word Harmonix has censored is the f word.
Remember the ESRB says ratings do not cover online play and since these songs have to be download maybe there are not covered in the ratings system.

Maybe, I guess we'll find out soon enough. I cant imagine that they'd have you sing "bad words" although it should stay origional.

My son asked me why so many of the songs in GH and RB have "Jesus" in them, made me think. Gonna find out how many songs contain the word "Jesus" in it. :)

The very first word in "El Scorcho" by Weezer is "Goddamn". I was kind of surprised (not offended, the last thing I want to do is start a religious debate in ATCG :p) by that.

Of course, all the surprise in the world couldn't have stopped me from gold starring it the first time I played it. ;)

I don't think it was wrong. It just looks like Harmonix switched the weeks around like they said they might.

Yea, no way it was wrong. Those three NiN songs were IN the list of future DLC from that hacked file. How would the OP come to the conclusion that the list is wrong?

Jonathan Coulton himself played "Still Alive" with Harmonix developers at GDC to debut the song as future DLC, which was also on the list.

yea, judging by Coheed and Cambria's "Welcome Home", the lyrics in the song go "a wolf in sheeps clothing, mucking up all I do", when in reality, the uncensored track is "a whore in sheeps clothing, fucking up all I do". I understand not wanting to use the word "fucking", but whore? They use the word whore in another track.. can't remember which one.

Nirvana's "In Bloom" has the "Nature is a whore" line. I suspected that maybe it's because one of them was a cover version, but that's not the case. Both claim to be master tracks.

correct. They are both master, and that was the song I was thinking of. I knew it was "nature is a whore" but couldn't for the life of me remember which song. I figured it was Nirvana but didn't want to claim so without knowing the track. heh
I wonder if it's based on the attitude of the lyrics. Coheed's lyrics are aiming at a hatred of a women, versus Nirvana's track isn't quite in the same vain, although both could be said to be angsty.

Well since they are both master tracks maybe they are just "clean" recordings that the bands had done for the radio or whatever.. What I'm saying is maybe Harmonix/EA didn't change "whore", that was just how the band recorded it when they were making their "radio version". I don't really know, just speculating. I've always found it kind of humorous which words they censor and which they let go

I was about to chime in that this is most likely the case in Welcome Home. It's probably just the radio edit that Harmonix chose to use to get rid of the f word.

Would you have rather had a cover band do the whole song just get rid of a word or have the original 'cleaned up a little bit more' radio version?

Well I'd rather have a cleaned up master, but I don't like the changing of lyrics.

I don't mind much. If you're as big of a fan of Coheed and Cambria as destrektor is, you can easily sing the original words with no scoring penalty. The game only judges your pitch and timing, so you can sing the entire song with nothing but F bombs, if you want. :p

Actually, depending on the company we have present, it's pretty normal for our Rock Band singer friends to put the "f'in" back in the Beastie Boy's "Sabotage". (We're rebels)

Yeah besides Harmonix already confirmed that the leaked list wasn't fake.

agreed. Yea, especially after the quality of the cover of the second Coheed song released, Ten Speed... eck. Why the hell did they need to release a cover? I'm sure Coheed would be all about getting their music on this game. And I'm also sick of covers still carrying the $1.99 price tag. WTH is up with that? Hell, the songs released by 30 Seconds to Mars.. masters no less, were $0.99.
Damn record labels.

Nice, ordered Rock Band today. I am a bit scared due to all the hardware problems.

Congrats. They've made the return policy so painless (2-day shipping, they ship FIRST), I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Of course "March of the Pigs" comes out when my foot pedal is broken.

This is one of those songs where I NEED to have it for the drums, but if we get it randomly in Band World Tour, pretty much any singer I play with will hate it.

If you sing "fucking" instead of "mucking" do you get penalized when you are on vocals?
