Rock Band 2 on the Shelf at Circuit City

Was just up a CC to get a Sirius car kit and went over to check out the games. There in front of me was a whole stack of RB2 games. I happily brought one to the front of the store to checkout, but was foiled by a surprisingly bright cashier. He looked at the game and said "Sorry, I can't sell you this until Sunday." I did a small amount of begging, but he wouldn't budge. He then called the manager and let him know that someone accidentally put the games on the shelf early.

I was so excited for a couple of minutes. Oh well, only two more days anyway.

Are the drumsets/guitar any different from RB1's equipment?

Lets see.. Drumsets' pads are slightly bigger and have more bounce to them as well as a softer sound. I'm uncertain about the guitar.

The Guitar, I believe, is supposed to be much sturdier, more responsive and full sized.

this was the game only. As was already said, no instruments for another month.

Any word on wired vs wireless for the instruments/mic ?

I've read the drums will be wireless by default, no idea on the mic. Guitars of course are all wireless.

The drums are already out. Some stores have gotten and sold theirs. Other stores haven't received their shipment yet.

There was no requirement for them to hold them until RB2 disk was released.

I am waiting more reviews before I get them though.

The guitar is out like next week or the week after.

Can't buy them as a bundle until the Oct. release date. They sure did this weird.

My friend owns a game store so I'm trying to get him to sell me RB 2 tonight but he hasn't responded yet.

I've seen two reports now of drums that are dropping notes, double hitting, and cross talking.... :\ I hope that this is just the standard situation where you only hear the negative and the people who are happy just don't post.... becasue I'd hate to think that the v2 drums are as bad as the v1 drums were.

I'm gonna wait and see before I buy the wireless drums, i'm just using my RB1 instruments until I get the GH:WT bundle for Christmas.

There won't be any bundles until next month, but the instruments (at least the drums) are available now in some stores.

You've learned your lesson OP. Next time, hide a couple of copies around the store somewhere, so if your first attempt fails and they take all the copies to the back, you can still come back later and try with another cashier using one of your hidden copies. Hide them good, though, so nobody else will find them.
