for a few batches sure. But, I wanted to get into it so I could do dup jobs for the local bands. I was checking out a few bands cd's they had made, the price was incredible, but the quality wasn't really all that. And, from what I've seen if you want label quality product, you gotta pay out the wazoo.
my ideas was to price an auto duper and basically go into business. I know there are already a ton of companies that do this, but there aren't any "local" to my area. I'm not sure if you factor in the price of the unit/printer/ribons (for printer) would be worth a daam. but I like to do things myself, call me dumb
I checked a few sites, an order of $1,000 4 color cd's, with 4 color 4 page inserts were around $2,200. I priced if I did the same job. I could pump out the same cd for about 1.20. Now, the duper unit I was checking out went for $15,000. But, I think I could find a lot of people out here who would go for it. I could charge less, and not require 1,000+ orders.
Wouldn't break the bank, but I could do something I enjoy, and possibly make a living off it *shrug*
