I have been looking around On-line for reviews of CD Autoduper units, I can't seem to find any. Is there a mag I could pick up for info on these? Or, just high(er) end Duping. The best I could find On-line was a unit that did about 500 unattended copies, but the printer that came with it was only capible of doing 350 4 color labels. I'm looking for something that could do mass unattended duplication, with cd-printing included.

thanks.

for a few batches sure. But, I wanted to get into it so I could do dup jobs for the local bands. I was checking out a few bands cd's they had made, the price was incredible, but the quality wasn't really all that. And, from what I've seen if you want label quality product, you gotta pay out the wazoo.

my ideas was to price an auto duper and basically go into business. I know there are already a ton of companies that do this, but there aren't any "local" to my area. I'm not sure if you factor in the price of the unit/printer/ribons (for printer) would be worth a daam. but I like to do things myself, call me dumb :)

I checked a few sites, an order of $1,000 4 color cd's, with 4 color 4 page inserts were around $2,200. I priced if I did the same job. I could pump out the same cd for about 1.20. Now, the duper unit I was checking out went for $15,000. But, I think I could find a lot of people out here who would go for it. I could charge less, and not require 1,000+ orders.
Wouldn't break the bank, but I could do something I enjoy, and possibly make a living off it *shrug*

I have two "Trace Digital Powerwriter SL" CD duplicators. Ironically I'm searching for their .pdf instruction manual (which supposedly exists), when I came across your thread, but I cannot find it. Each of these units do 50 disc's at a time, but I have yet to use them. They're stand alone (no need to connect to a computer).

If anyone happens to know where I can find the manual, please help!

Unfortunately, that's all the info I can give you.
