Robotech Transformable Alpha Fighters being released!

There hasn't been a Robotech thread in a while, so I thought I would share some information.

Robotech.com just updated their news section with some details about the transformable alpha fighter that is being released!

More Info:
Each Alpha Fighter in this series:

- Can fully transform into three modes: Fighter, Guardian and Battloid.

- Composed of die-cast metal and plastic construction.

- Features an opening cockpit hatch with removable pilot.

- Retractable landing gear with authentic rubber tires.

The first thing I thought was "Hot sheeeet! I've been wanting one of these since I first watched Robotech 5 years ago." But at that time they were like, $120... now I can get one for the low low cost of EIGHTY FRICKIN' DOLLARS. load of crap. At that price, you'd be an idiot to open the box and play with it, and lord knows that's exactly what I would do.
 
You know what is sad? KB-Toys had to clearance most of their Robotech stuff way back when the series first ran in the 80's. I had so many die cast Robotech figures, action figures, and vehicles it wasn't funny. I got most of them for $2-$10 bucks each.
 
It is expensive, but it will be better quality that 99% of the toys on the market today... I was looking at transformers in Target recently, and those things are $30.00 for cheap plastic toys.
