Robosapien or Robopet?

I'm looking for an off the wall kind of gift in the $100 or less range and came across the Robopet and Robosapien. Does anyone have one of these? I know it won't make diamonds out od coal, but does anyone have either if these? If so would they be a good gift?

I bought my son a Robosapien about a year ago. Its an interesting toy and he likes it. He still plays with it to this day. I think an older child over the age of 6 or 7 might get bored with it easy though. Any kid below that age should get some good use out of it🙂
