they made fun of it every time people found out . . . i.e. when Price John finds out he stops, with a "your name's MERVIN?!?!? hahahahahaha"

Brooks loves breaking the 4th wall and having the silly randomness actually have more meaning to it than you might first think..

Mel Brooks was very influential to getting Dave Chappelle's career started. Mel Brooks is truly my favorite.
