Anyone going to the Sunday show in Oakland? Just curious, haven't been to one in over a year, was wondering if it's worth my time (I have a free admission coupon). Not really looking for anything specific in terms of hardware.

Yeah, I'm probably going. The show has been dwindling in recent months, so they've sent our free coupons to everyone, and probably offered dealers better rates, to try to jump start things again. Hopefully it will be good, with more dealers than usual.

I think i've seen the maxcooler guys at some past shows.. if it's them, they just have a bunch of heatsinks on a table for sale. They're like the only ones who ever have alphas at the show, everyone else sells only globalwins and Coolermasters. Pretty good prices as i recall. I've bought artic silver from them (again, the only people who carry the stuff at the shows), that's the extent of the business i've done with them.

and yeah, the show isn't what it use to be.. but free is free right?

Yeah, free is free. Was hoping to pick up some rounded SCSI cables and some other stuff to clean up my case.

Looks like I'll be there this Sunday also....need some cheap components. You never know when you will see a good deal.
