Basically this is software that unlocks your iPhone and fixes a couple of things that Apple neglected to fix. They use an exploit in the Safari web browser to run unsigned code (TIFF exploit) unlock your phone using this exploit, then go back and patch the hole that they just used to 'jailbreak' your iPhone.
