$10 says it was someone who worked there.

$20 says it was the person they told to lock the room.
$30 says neither of you will make money off your petty bets.

I'll take your bet Scarpozzi and I'll also take Wapp's bet.

Wapp I concede loss in the bet. Scarpozzi - you owe me $30 please.

they left the projector? WTH?

thats the first thing i said

that laptops worth like £100 if that.... the projector is easily £300 if not more

and whats more its a works laptop, so its got a password, and then its pretty much locked down by the computer guys

It takes 10 minutes to access the data even with windows password. Unless your data encrypted I bet it is worth more than your projector.

it was a media services loaner laptop, it had nothing but a few powerpoints on it and some dvd's ripped to the hard drive. there is no confidential info or any info besides presentations on hot roller levelling and hot sawing etc.... im sure the thief will enjoy those

Your error was asking them to lock the room and then walking away, just expecting everything to happen according to plan.

This is an excellent way to conduct business if you are a Megalomaniac dealing with the murder your arch Nemesis, btw.
