They have the cherry picker outside my apartment building right now. I asked the guy if they were upgrading the building, and he said they might even be up and running today! It won't long. One cable modem are soon belong to me! :D:D:D

I've heard RoadRunner is the best in the cable modem biz right now, but everyone has heard broadband horror stories. Share your experiences, good or bad!

I have RoadRunner from Cox in Northern Virginia. It is very fast and reliable. I'll never be without broadband again. :)

Austin RoadRunner can get wonky sometimes. They had big email problems down here, but I don't use their email so I didn't have a problem. Latency can be an issue, but since I'm on at generally odd hours, its allright for me. For the price, you can't beat it with a large stick.

I have AT&T(formerly MediaOne) RoadRunner here in ATL, GA and it's great. I *average* over 1500kbps download speed, but my uploads are capped @ 128k. Oh well. :(

I've heard to words, "Any month now" for about 2 years from comcast@home. I've lost all hope.

I have Road Runner in New York City.

It's super fast and I've only had downtime once in the last 6 months and that was when there was some problem and like cable for the whole area got messed up. And there was only about 2 hrs of downtime anyway.

I love it.

I just got RR in Houston. I had DSL before that and the speeds are much better with RR.

Road Runner here in Rochester, NY USED to be good, but they put a cap on it and now it sucks! 250kb/s is the max I can download anything at...I used to get speeds in excess of 700 kb/s...and the upload speeds went from 100kb/s to 45kb/s...They did it because they have no other competition in the area, and make more money this way...assholes.

I'm with bigsmooth here in northern VA. Nearing 18 great months with Cox@RR. I think I can count the number of outages I've noticed on one hand.
