Road Trip, where to go?

My friends and I have the urge to go on a roadtrip for spring break. We're ages 18-21, me and my girlfriend and another couple that we're good friends with, and we're leaving from Flint, MI and heading in the general direction of South Carolina.

Anyway, the idea is to have fun along the trip and not rush to SC, but we don't know where to go. Does anyone have any ideas for places to stop at along the way?

I'm going to Orlando for my vacation (end of Feb). That will end up being a 800 mile drive (one way).

Disney and Universal Studios should keep me occupied.

Go to NYC and then try to go to LA without making a left turn.

Let us know how it turns out.

Other than that, take a look at "South of the Border" between North and South Carolina. It's been decades since I've been there, though. It still looks alive and well when I frequent Florida.

As a native of North Carolina, I would advise you to just stop when you get to NC and not bother going to SC 😉

Seriously, though, when's your spring break? The NC mountains are nice, although more so in the fall, IMHO. If you're going during basketball season, be sure to stop by Satisfactions in Brightleaf Square in Durham to watch the Duke men kick UNC's collective asses.

Flint, are you a local, KU, or UofM student?

Anyways, we just drove from DTW to Florida and that was kind of neat. We took an odd route, though.

U of M student.

And the spring break starts Feb 26th I think, pretty early.
