Hello Everyone,

My Wife, our dog and I are planning on taking a road trip from Denver CO to Vancouver and the end of this month. The trip will be roughly 1 week, Saturday to Saturday. We would like to recruit some advice on things to do and things not to miss.

Here is a rough map of what our trip looks like at this time. We'd like to hit up Yellowstone National Park, but after that, we don't have a lot of attractions in mind as far as what to hit.

We have no schedule; if we find enough stuff fun things to on our way to Vancouver then we can just end up spending 1 or 2 nights there.

We love food, athletic activities (such as hiking/camping), sight seeing, and everything else that goes along with a road trip.

Please provide us with any tips, suggestions, comments or questions. Thanks in advance!

I'm not familiar with that route, so I don't know of any attractions off the top of my head. That being said, stuff like that is usually advertised on the side of the road, so keep your eyes out for anything that might be interesting.

I did this exact same trip two years ago, except it was from Denver to Seattle. We went through Fort Collins, CO and into Wyoming. Spent a day or two in Yellowstone. Then picked up 90 and spent some time in Bozeman (there are good sushi places there), passed through Missoula (interesting small town), and spent a night in Wallace, ID (I'd recommend this - it's where Dante's peak was filmed). Then we drove through the Eastern Part of Washington.. beautiful.

If you have time, go South to Portland first. Coming in from the East is amazing.
