Why would you put a smooth, glossy surface where your hands would be? Looks great, but I imagine the steering wheel and shift knob would be irritating to people with extremely sweaty hands.

It isn't that big. Its meant to compete in the midsize (think Explorer/Aviator, MDX, X5) luxury SUV market.

I think the odd proportions and large fender flares make it look big... and ugly.

I like the 4-Runner better. Same platform and engine, but about $15,000 cheaper :D

My Dad is going to buy one of those over the next few months. I wasn't that impressed with it when we checked it out. I noticed that a lot of the interior parts are from the same parts bin as the '97 Toyota Camry I used to drive. The wood trim and ceiling mounted DVD player are the highlights of the vehicle. The seats, door panels, ceiling covering, and dashboard felt kind of cheap.

It's not surprising the fvcktards at Edmunds think its' the greatest thing since sliced bread. LOL. You could put a Toyota badge on an old Yugo, and they would give it the car of the year award.

I'll have the new series Range Rover over that any day.
 I think it looks a lot better than anything in its class. The Range Rover is about $20,000 more than this fine SUV. I am sure many people would love to make that jump.
