<< Why would you even consider this truck if you don't go off-roading..
I think the buyers who buy trucks like these for their work/hobbie purposes don't really care about looks. Half the time, the truck would be covered in mud anyway and you wouldn't be able to tell the plastic from the metal, hell you won't even be able to see the actual body panels of the truck...
If its practical then its a good truck, who cares about the frigging looks! >>
The features are nice, but you don't have to go offroading to enjoy those features (case & point, Cadillac Escalade EXT...you see one of those off-road, and I'll give you $50). I wouldn't mind something like the Avalanche if it WASN'T SO DAMN UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks play a big part in the decision to buy a vehicle that someone buys (it's also the reason why '94 Dodge Ram sales took off). If you don't think so, then look at the Aztek and its poor sales. And if something doesn't look pleasing to my eye, I won't buy it no matter how it good it is. And the day that I drive a vehicle around with mud slung all over it is the day that I sh!t my pants. I can't stand a dirty vehicle!!:|:|
If the Avalanche looked like a regular Silverado; I could get down with that, but this thing just looks like Lego trash. The Silverado Z71 is an off-road pickup, but it doesn't look like ass either.
