I got an email a few days ago from Time Warner saying this new service is coming to my area soon but gave no pricing. Naturally the first thing I did was research it on the net and found it runs anywhere from $70.00 - $80.00. I am only paying $40.00 for R.R. with a promo package I have so there is no way in hell I am paying that much although I would relish the faster speed. Thankfully my 3mbs is keeping me happy for now.

Anyone have it yet? It seems to have been out awhile in several markets but only is just now making it to my area.

Man, I wish Insight would offer that. I'd be all over that like a fat kid on a cupcake.

The started test marketing names for that in February. Thus it is a quite new product. I'm much more interested in the slower but low cost Road Runner. Has anyone seen that yet?

Same here. Actually, Insight really needs to adjust their upload cap. I am sick of the line being saturated at anything about 10K/s.

Nope, they haven't offered any tier plans here yet. Right now we only have one plan with the addition of the Extreme RR coming soon. I wonder how much slower the new plan will be that you mentioned.

Me too....

Even better, the company I work for pays for it since I sometimes have to get online at home for break/fix issues

6mbs down? How many servers will actually saturate a line like that?

Personally I'd be elated if they raised the damn upload limit. But who am I going to complain to? Technically a games server is against use policy, as is any type of personal FTP.

Don't get me wrong I am very satisfied with my R.R. 3mbs down. But when it comes to broadband more is always better. Too bad in this case more is going to cost an arm and a leg compared to what I am already paying.

The people I really feel for are the ones using the satellite systems. They get horrid latency, awful up and down speeds and yet have to pay a premium for it all.

It'll work better with vonage as well.
If i have some BT's running, Vonage runs like sh!t.
