Give an example of Road Rage that you've endured recently.

I was driving West on 236 in Annandale when some bitch tried to cut me off.
She basically didn't want to wait for a stopped car in the right lane and FLOORED it into my lane when I was passing by. I breaked hard and she braked (why i don't know)....and I swevred around her.

My car ended up in front of hers at the next light.

In my rear view mirror, she looked "anxious" and I thought that she was jsut embarrassed at having commited a MASSIVE fvkup.

What does she do then?

She floors into the turn lane.....brakes hard(?) and when the light turns green she floored it into the thru traffic lanes cutting everyone off.

I sooooooooooo wish I had gotten that bitches plates:|

[/nonsensical rant]

Why am I so fvking mad? I just watched "Man on Fire" and feel baddass right now:eek:

I never have any road rage myself and can't remember any particular incidents of others having road rage, sorry to say. The only thing that comes close was when I yelled at a car to turn faster today because it was taking a long time and I was pissed for another reason.

Not road rage, but I was ready to ride the horn when some guy cutted me off and drove extremely slower

I was driving home on RT 219 heading into Springville (NY). About 5 miles before the expressway ends, this guy was slowing down. Well, since I had my cruise control on, I casuallly started to passs him. as I got right next to the person in the left lane, the guy sped up, just enough to be ahead of me, but not enough for me to be a safe distance behind him if I pull into the right lane. So, I continue in the left lane, and eventuallly pass him. Then...out of nowhere VROOOM! The dude passes me....gets a good distance ahead and slows down to about almost 10 mph slower than the speed limit...well, I'm like....oookaaay...so, I just slowly pass him again....(I'm trying to avoid making eye contanct so that I don't initate anything more)...but, the guy does it again....finally after i pass the dude again...she zooms past me and takes off down an exit ramp. That was my first encounter with road rage.

Consider yourself lucky.

I'm impressed that you spelled braked both correctly and incorrectly in the same sentence. :)

Still thinking of a recent road rage incident...

I have that kinda sh1t happen to me somewhat frequently. Driving home from church a couple weeks ago I switched lanes because there was a car in front of me and he was going slower than I liked so I get in the other lane and he speeds up a little bit and I'm just like "Whatever, I need to be in this lane anyway." I get up to the speed limit and then about 5 mph over (45 in a 40 zone) and I slowly start to catch up to this guy, then right as I'm slowly passing him, he guns it for no reason. Same thing three or four times until finally he gets up to at least 55 or 60 right before the light where I needed to turn right. I couldn't help but smile as I made my right-hand turn because as soon as he sped up he had to break in order not to run the red light.

The only time I've actually become raged at the road was about a year ago when I was driving in Indianapolis. This is kind of ironic because the drivers there are usually pretty good and I had spent the last five years living in Ohio, where the drivers SUCK.

I was at a stop light waiting behind one car to turn right. She waited for pedestrians to cross, then still didn't go after they were well on the sidewalk. I gently tapped the horn to get her attention back to reality, so she flipped me off. I still wasn't pissed. So then she waits until the light is red, then turns right. Then I am behind her at the next light. When it changes to green, she sits there until the light turns yellow then goes. Still, I'm ok. She does this again, so I start to go around her and she punches it to keep next to me. Since I need to turn from the lane she's in, I have to slow down and get behind her. So then she waits at the light again. At this point, I was what doctors like to call 'a little miffed' and had a few choice words for her. So then my girlfriend at the time, whose car I was driving, went all apenuts on me for yelling and such... What a wuss. :p If I had been in my car, I could have got in front of the woman no problem and the day would have been mine, but I was driving an old boat with no pickup.

Not road rage, but just an observation.

On one way roads where the vehicle in front of me would like to make a left hand turn, he doesn't get into the left lane in preparation of his turn. He likes to make the turn from the centre lane very slowly moving away from the centre lane and turning very slowly and braking at the same time. If they could get into the proper turn lane nobody else would've had to slow to a crawl waiting for him.

Two lanes and I'm on the left lane. Ahead of us is a traffic light and a vehicle infront of him. We've both made the left turn simultaneously and with a lot of free open road up ahead going up the hill, being me, I'd normally revv it up and speed my way up the hill. The truck beside me apparently does the same trying to speed up and overtake my lane. Not that I intended to be a dick and not let him thru but I knew that I was going to be speeding way past the limit and no point to let him overtake me. So I didn't. At the end he had to slow down as to not hit the vehicle infront of him. Once I sped past he went onto my lane behind me and continued on. I didn't originally mean for it to be a competition or race as I was simply doing my own thing and he decided to try and overtake my lane. Sure I could've let him thru but I felt the need for speed. That was it, no verbal exchange, no horns or flashing high beams, no eye to eye contact. He started the fire and I added oil to it. Poor judgement on both our parts. We both could've caused an accident.

I cursed the mofo's out and flipped them off while never leaving the sanctity of my car.
