'Road Rage' is Called a Diagnosable Disorder

Intermittent Explosive Disorder

Sorry, but I don't buy it. These are temper tantrums. The same thing children do until they are taught self control.

Nope not infected, I've been commuting in some of the worst traffic in the country for 17 years and never lost my temper. I just listen to the radio, drink my water and watch the stupidness around me. I just want to get home in one piece. 🙂

Nowadays, EVERYTHING can be classified as a disorder. I don't know why people can't simply take responsibility for their own behavior and stop calling it something!

And I say this HAVING a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and working in the field for over 15 years.

Makes sense. If being a collosal fatass is considered a disease then me going apesh|t behind the wheel should be a mental disorder.

That seems to be the major problem in America today.
Children are not being taught self control.
Nor do they ever hear the word "No", the slackers graduate the same as those who work hard, etc., etc.

Road rage is the result of Spoiled Brats driving.

"People think it's bad behavior and that you just need an attitude adjustment, but what they don't know ... is that there's a biology and cognitive science to this," said Dr. Emil Coccaro, chairman of psychiatry at the University of Chicago's medical school.
Of course...it's pretty hard to sell obscenely priced drugs to someone if all they need is an "attitude adjustment"

I'll buy that some people are biologically predisposed to having a shorter fuse...but ultimately, YOU decide your own actions. I keep waiting for a backlash against the "personal responsibility-free" America of today, but so far it's just getting worse and worse...

Soon enough a new drug will be released that can treat 'Road Rage' and then people can eat more drugs and the pharmaceutical companies can make more Trillions $
