road Bicycle

I am looking for a decent road bicycle to use... I would like for it to be $1000 or less. Must be complete... Any suggestions? I have not much experience with this type of bicycle myself. I'm planning to join some local race clubs and so on forth.

Damn this guy is like a walking Motobecane plug 😛 but that rebadged Fuji with Ultegra for $1k is one hell of a deal.
If I could make my wife understand, I would be buying that bike and selling my cannondale today....

Tell her there's a "two bike minimum" rule for cyclists 😛

Already covered by the beater I bought to ride around town. 🙁

I do need a rainy day bike though... 😛

I test rode a Felt F55 bike this afternoon, which is a really nicely equipped bike for the money. It is aluminum w/carbon seat stays and carbon fork. It does have all Shimano Dura-Ace components though which pretty much makes the bike a bargain at $1799. The entire bike only weighs 17.5 lbs. The bike is a pretty stiff ride and if you aren't used to the ultra stiff ride of aluminum it can be a bit uncomfortable. I'm going to ride a carbon bike for comparison to see if I like that more.

Meanwhile, I'm getting my old steel frame Suntour Superbe Pro equipped bike tuned up so I can start riding it again. 🙂
