Anyone have suggestions? I've been using speedfan and know that you must add 15c or so, but I want something a bit more accurate. I've tried some of the work arounds, but nothing works.

Can anyone suggest something other than going back to a 32bit

ps: not sure if this belongs on this section, but you guys probably know more.

core temps from speedfan? if so my stuff must be running realllllyyyy cold. time to oc the poo out of it.

I did disable driver signing, atleast from what I know. Isn't it called UVA? or are you talking about the thing that you need to do through command prompt.

It's a program called CoreTemp. It works well.

Disabling driver signing isn't really as easy as everyone says it is... what you disabled is called UAC (user account control). That basically lets you know when you're doing something that might let a virus in or something such.

Driver signing is Vista's need for digitally signed drivers. If you install a program and have driver signing active (such as Rivatuner), Vista will complain that the driver isn't digitally signed and won't load it. It's a big PITA if you have to deal with it all the time.

So doing UAC doesn't really disable driver signing.

What do you do to do it?

Coretemp freaks out on me, older version says drivers not found and gives me zero readings. Newer version freaks out by throwing constant no driver found windows until I force quit it.

Thanks for the help.

You need to disable driver signing and then it is fine.

Not anymore after a few MS Vista updates have been patched.
Neither has RivaTuner.
I tried a few tricks suggested but nothing worked.
Now I'm not sure about liking my Vista 64 anymore???
