rMBP 15" Ivy Bridge GUI performance?

Hey guys,

Just hoping to get some feedback on rMBP 15" Ivy Bridge (2012/early 2013) performance in Mavericks.

I'm looking at a 2.6Ghz/16/512 model, or a late 2013 2.3/16/512. Not sure if the latter is worth the price difference, and would love your opinions.

The newer model will be a little faster and have slightly better battery life. If price is a concern, get the cheaper one.

I have a 2012 15 RMBP. The performance is fine, I see no reason to upgrade (especially since the new RMBP doesn't seem to have drastically imporved battery life).
