RMA with VisionTek

i bought a visiontek radeon 9500pro a few years back from compusa. i just sold it on ebay to someone and they say the card is dead. they called visiontek for an rma, but they said they will only rma it if that person is the original owner and has the original reciept. now it's been two years since i bought the thing, and i am pretty sure the recipet is long gone. am i screwed here?
 
I think it's gonna be hard for you to get this RMA through.
I had rma'd w/ visiontek a short while back. a 9600xt, they did require a receipt I didn't have. I contacted the Compusa where I bought it from, and had them mail me a copy of my reciept and only then did Visiontek process my RMA.
Good luck with getting Compusa getting you a copy of years-old reciept.

man that sucks. i guess it's prolly in the fine print somewhere, that i need the stupid reciept.
