RMA Questions

I got an RMA from newegg, but due to exams and school i wasn't able to mail it until the day before the RMA number expired. When they say they have a 14 day valid period, does that mean that it has to be post marked by that date or does that mean that they have to physically have it by then.

Btw: This didn't seem like a GH or any other type of question, more like an OT question.

It should be in their hands by day 14. You seriously couldn't spend 5 minutes to package up your item and 10 minutes to send it off? You can't seriously expect anyone to believe that this was not a direct result of laziness.

Pray that they don't send it back to you and require you to make a new RMA, cause then you have to pay postage 2 more times (for them to send it back and then for you to send it to them again!)

Well it may take only 10 minutes to package it up, but it takes me 30-45 minutes to make it to the post office, and 30-45 minutes to make it back. I had my lst mid-terms exams of my high school career these past weeks and simply had no time.

You said it should be in their hands, but what if a person mailed it out and it simply got delayed so many times. Not that i dont trust you by any means, but is there anyway someone can link me to part of neweggs site that says this. It just seems (perhaps it is wishful thinking) that it would be post marked by that date, and not recieved.

How difficult would it to be to Newegg to find out.

And if they gave you 14 days; that would cover two week-ends that you did not attempt to take care of the issue. What was so important that you could not take time from your schedule on a Sat AM to swing by the Po; or even ask a family member to do so for you during the day?

I just said i had exams. On Saturdays i work. Yes, i probably could have managed to find time in between these chaotic weeks, but i didn't 🙁

Since it was postmarket in advance of the expiration date, do you think they will still accept it. On the RMA status website, it still says step one which means it is awaiting the package even though it is one day after the expiration right now.
