Hi i am looking for a RJ45 crimping tool....any suggestions?

Well i looked at egghead.com they cost around $16+6 for shipping bring the total to $22 or something is that fine? Let me know pl before i go ahead and buy!! Thanks in advance

I went to Home Depot and bought one for about 25. I like it, it doesn't look or feel like a POS and it has blades on it for wire cutting and stripping.

That sounds like a good onee, usually have rj-45 and phone line crimpers all metal, a stripper (lol), and a cutter...

The ones at Radio Shack (black with red handle) are ok. Not great, just ok. I paid $30 for it because I needed one fast and couldn't wait to order. Since you probably have the time to wait, try to find one online that has a locking pin to lock the handles closed. It sounds silly, but can make it much easier to fit the crimper in a small case.

The cutting blades on the Radio Shack crimper are poorly placed. They make it hard to srip the end without cutting into the wire.

If you really wanna be pimping, go out and get a ata cable crimper from jameco and make your own seamless rounded cables 😉

Here you go, this is a good tool, been using it for a while, comes with connectors too.Tool
If you need cables and such this is the place to get them.

you can get the tool with fewer connectors if you don't need 100.

I looked around and found the one I use at work. This thing is great:

Belkin cripmer

We've had this one at work for years and it's always been great, and has the locking pin I mentioned.
