Why don't you go to the store that sells these tools and ask? Or call them ahead of time? Or use freaking google?

How do i use google to check this?

I dont go to store because its computer store selling them and hardly they know themselves, lebal sayd it works with RJ11, RJ12 and RJ45 so i get it, nice tool, though little hard at stripping since both stripper and cutter @ same pisiton, just from different sides. But generally i would give it 8/10 points, and cost just 10$.

How do you use google to check? I don't understand how you can ask that. Start by looking at RJ11, RJ12, and RJ14.

Is it really necessary to be that degrading? This person has a question and they're coming to a forum to get an answer for it. So when they ask you how to use a search engine you mock them? That's really not very mature. You might be having a bad day man, but that's no reason to degrade someone else.

If you have your problems, deal with them, but don't let them afftect someone who is here looking for help. Especially a new member.

It's not degrading at all.

If I wanted to be degrading, I would have been. If you want to focus on the negative, that's your problem. If you read what I type and attempt to learn from it by reading deeper than just the basic words on the page, applying it to your life, you'll see that the basic concepts behind my replies (such as creatively gathering information, innovative problem solving, etc.) can be applied not only to the current situation to help you answer your own question now and future questions, but can be applied to other parts of life to better yourself as a whole.

So, in more simple terms, figure it out yourself. It's really not that hard. At least give a good hard ATTEMPT to answer the question by yourself before asking and waiting days and weeks for a response like most of the newbies here do. :) Nostromo's not asking a completely obvious question to the networking newbie, but the question can easily be answered with 3 simple google image searches. Come on now, that's like 15 seconds.

That crimping tool only has 1 slot for crimping. RJ45 and RJ11/12/14 are two totally different sizes. You cannot crimp RJ45 with an RJ11 crimping tool. First, the boot won't even fit into the crimper. Second, the crimping tool won't have 8 "fingers" needed to crimp all 8 wires in the RJ45.

I aint come here to learn use google, i know how to use it and find things i need, it was quick question and i asked it after looking up on google.
Your point if man dont know thing bout RJ connectors and Crimpers he can just look @ random picture of RJ11 RJ12 and RJ14 in google and say if they'r same size? This wont work, all pictures are different and there is no way to say, thats why i asked how exactly i should look it up on google, and probably i wanned to hear search string from you because i cant think of one to answer my question (maybe cuz english is not my native language).

Okay, you sent me a PM to reply to this, so I will. I wasn't trying to teach you how to use google, I was simply suggesting that you use your damn brain.

First of all, have you ever heard of industry standards? The size of the little brass connectors in the boots on the "flat side" of each type of cable are going to all be the same size. With that in mind, it's childishly easy to determine the physical size of each type of boot via images on Google. Is that complicated? Is that really THAT HARD to do?

Jesus, I'm no genius but I'm beginning to think that the potential capacity for IQ in the human brain drops profoundly each day

My mistake about which model you bought, though. I only saw the picture of the crimping tool in your second post.
