i'm doing some rewiring in my house (to get internet, phone, and cable TV to bedroooms) i need a 50 foot RJ-11 (telephone) cable. i want one end to be male and one end to be the four wires (to put into a wall jack). If i get a Male/Male cable can i cut it, and crimp it?

RJ-11 refers to the plug, not cable type. Telephone cable is often Cat III but CAT V or Ve much common for use in voice. Why not run a CAT 5 with RJ-45 faceplate? Your standard phone that uses RJ-11 connectors will work just fine plugged into an RJ-45 faceplate (not the other way around though)

I use CAT 5 wiring with RJ-45 plugs for all data and voice cabling needs.
