RivaTuner(UAC) is annoying me to no end.

I'm using RivaTuner 2.09 to maintain my graphics cards. I simply want it to start up with windows without the damn UAC prompts everytime. I've tried work-arounds that I've seen posted in another forum.... to no avail. I think that particular rivaturner workaround stopped working after sp1.

I changed the UAC to elevate without prompt (instead of off all together) and that solved my problem... half-way that is.

I am now getting that ANNOYING red sheild with the x on it in my task bar showing that security center is flagging UAC as "not on" and click this to fix that blah blah balogna!

Is there a way to get rid of this sheild without stopping the security center service all together? (I believe in vista, if you diable security center, you simply get another warning icon in your taskbar!)

ARG I'm at wits end with this, anybody have some helpful hints here?

Just change "the way Security Center alerts you". I'm pretty sure there's an option to do that to make it stop pestering you but still leave the features inside it enabled.

Yes, go to Control Panel, Security Center, click Change the way Security Center alerts me on the left, and choose the third option.

Hmm, title should change to "RivaTuner is annoying me to no end," methinks

touché! First time I've cracked a smile all day, title changed!

Oh, and the "change the way security center alerts me", works fine! Thank you all.
