Could Riva tuner (2.08 version) be wrong? according to the specs at newegg.com for particular card (8800gts evga 512mb stock) is supposed to have 1800mhz, this is also listed commonly for other cards as well.

for core clock it say 600mhz (seems correct), for shader clock it says 1500mhz, and memory clock 900mhz.

Also could someone recommend a better overclocking program for my card? when i try to adjust fanspeed setting in Riva tuner, it applies the setting i set for PC (3d) games to all other setting (when im simply browing the internet for example)

(DDR= DUAL Date Rate) Memory clock= 900mhz X 2 = 1800mhz. As for fan monitoring I haven't used Rivatuner in a while but I think there was profiles available so you can make one for 3D and one for 2D.
