You've spoke about having seen the children's prisons in Iraq. Can you describe what you saw there?

The prison in question is at the General Security Services headquarters, which was inspected by my team in Jan. 1998. It appeared to be a prison for children - toddlers up to pre-adolescents - whose only crime was to be the offspring of those who have spoken out politically against the regime of Saddam Hussein. It was a horrific scene. Actually I'm not going to describe what I saw there because what I saw was so horrible that it can be used by those who would want to promote war with Iraq, and right now I'm waging peace.

Why didn't he say something? :|

It has come to light recently that some cnn editors knew about the regimes secret torture facilities and had even seen them and the horrific methods they used. they have had this information for several years but did not report it because according to them they feared for the lives of the iraqi employees at their Baghdad bureau. The fact that they would have been booted out of the country probably had a lot to do with their decision to keep it secret as well. There is quite a bit more to the story but that is the gist of it. I will post a link if i can dig one up.

He is a low life loser who has been proven to take bribes from Iraq and as someone mentioned got in trouble for internet pedophilia. He can turn a blind eye as long as the blinders are lined in gold.

Wasn't that moonie that was defending him? I seem to remember a rather long thread about that.

You're probably confusing that one with the one where I was defending the Devil, etech. :D

One of these days, etech, you will have to pay some attention to the fact that people easily confuse a challenge to this or that point as a defense of some other point. It's relatively easy to see in others, it's when we do it that requires that introspective touch so important to self awareness.

I seem to remember responding to my perception that people who have a great deal of potential credibility, like the soldier Ritter, was he not decorated?, draw the most vicious and calumnious vituperation when they turn from the robot way and start to think for themselves. Credibility is threatening, that's why you always attempt to reinforce mine even if you don't exactly even really remember. Probably being right is good enough, eh? :D

Who was defending who is as irrelevant as both my posts in this thread.

True, moonie will just say he was pulling some psycho-babble trick to try and enlighten us all to his level. Who defended Ritter back then is irrelevant now. I have a tendency to try and keep the record straight and went off-topic from the theme of this thread.

My apologies.

My point was that I thought it was Scott Ritter that you were after, Dave. I don't know this other dude ande don't remember that critique. Was just trying to sort out my Ritters.
