Hi:

I have been looking into these since I picked up an Epson R200 and found2 different types of inkjet printable DVDs.

What is the difference between "Inkjet Hub Printable" and just "Inkjet Printable"?

Can I print these in my R200?

Thanks!

I think this is hot.. any oppinions?

It's hot if your burner can handle Ritek G05's. G05 is Ritek's newest and compatability has been spotty at best. These particular discs don't burn reliably in many recorders, don't play back well in many standalones and will VERY often only burn at 1x or 2x in the burners that can handle them. Check the compatability charts before buying Ritek G05's to avoid winding up with a spindle full of coasters.

This is true, be sure to do research before picking up the newest Riteks. Don't even try to burn these with a LiteOn drive, as they have the least compatability with them.

If you've got an Optorite 1205, then these burn at 8x. I got the +Rs and they burn at 12x. They both were Memorex brand discs as well.

I knew my drive was good for something...lol

Got the same drive. It's outstanding. I just ordered the Ritek 8x DVD-R Ritek Labeled disks. 50pak for $25 shipped. I used a whole 50 before and nothing burned less than 12x. These are the best DVD's I've ever purchased. I'll use these until the DL come out ;)

again, this drive is so quiet and fast.

they burn great on my pioneer a04 and nec 3500a. Also, I've never had problems on any dvd player i've tried to play these.

Bought a 100 of these awhile back.
Burned 50-60 perfectly thus far @8x in my NEC-2500A.

No playback errors either!

Ridata media is the great solution to TY....supermediastore is a great vendor....

HOWEVER....don't trust you will get a cake box when it says so (usually a mylar wrapped stack of discs with hard plastic bases on each end with clear plastic spacer discs you will get)....

also read their 'drive' ratings...they sell discs at maximum recording speed.

so if you read that 8x ridata does 12x, you may actually be buying 4x that does 8x.....check out the specs they give and media identifiers first. Still great deals though.

I just picked up 100 printable and 12x capable -R's for $47 shipped.

buzz, i just bought a nec 3500a, do you know of any firmware versions that allow burning at faster speeds? If so, have you tried any of 'em? Im most def gonna jump on this deal regardless.
